Burglary - Around 5pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Slippery Hill, St. George’s residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7am and 5pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied; however, it does not appear that anything was taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 4:55pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Malabar Road, Sandys parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 11:45am and 3pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a 37” Panasonic flat screen TV and a Panasonic DVD recorder/digital tuner. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 4:30pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at an Old Military Road, St. George’s residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 8:30am and 4:10pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a HP laptop computer and a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 3:35pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Slippery Hill, St. George’s residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 10:30am and 3:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a 47” Panasonic flat screen TV and a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Arrest

A 23 year old St. George’s man was arrested in connection with the reported burglaries of three St. George’s residences on Wednesday (highlighted above).

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011.
