Injury RTC/Assault - Around 6:10pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Kindley Field Road in St. George’s. It appears that a van was traveling east on Kindley Field Road and a motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The driver of the van, a 55 year old Devonshire man, was assaulted by the rider and passenger of the motorcycle, a 21 year old Hamilton parish man and a 19 year old Hamilton parish man respectively. The van driver sustained injuries resulting from the assault and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The rider of the motorcycle complained of pain to his right arm and right leg from the collision. He and the motorcycle’s passenger were also arrested in connection with the assault. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact the Southside Police Station on 293-2222.

Burglary

Around 8:30pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Camp Hill, Southampton residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 12:45pm and 8:15pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his apartment while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a black 47” LG flat screen TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 9:20am on Saturday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Harrington Sound Road, Hamilton parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime earlier an unknown culprit gained entry into the home. A black 42” Panasonic flat screen TV, food items, a quantity of alcohol and other beverages were removed from the residence; however all of the removed possessions were recovered on the property. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 6 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 8 reported burglaries. There were also 15 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 7 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 8 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
