Attempted Robbery - Around 5:20am today, Police received a report of an attempted robbery at Grotto Bay Beach hotel in Hamilton parish. It appears that an unknown man brandishing a bladed article attempted to enter an office on the premises but was prevented from doing so by an employee who was working in the office at the time. The offender then made good his escape empty handed after being confronted by the hotel’s security officer. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’11” - 6’2” tall of slim build, wearing a white hooded jacket with a green pattern, dark coloured pants, white sneakers and dark sunglasses. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.
Willful Damage/Theft
Around 7:35am on Tuesday, Police received a report of willful damage/theft at a Reid Street, City of Hamilton premises. The complainant stated that an unknown culprit or culprits had caused damage to three of the property’s vehicles which had been parked at the rear of the building since over a week ago. Two of the trucks had rear window damage while the third had front window damage. The truck with front window damage also had a DeWalt chop saw removed from it.
