Fatal RTC - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 21 year old Earl Ingemann of Sandys parish. Mr. Ingemann was a passenger in a car involved in a serious single vehicle road traffic collision on Kindley Field Road in St. George’s in the vicinity of Stone Crusher Corner around 3:35am Friday, January 1st. He sustained serious head & chest injuries and was taken to KEMH before being airlifted overseas for further medical treatment; however he subsequently succumbed to his injuries. The Bermuda Police Service extends sincere condolences to the family & friends of the deceased. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision; particularly several motorcyclists that were traveling along Kindley Field Road at the time, anyone who saw a red Suzuki car license #33382 leaving the St. George’s town centre during the early hours of Friday morning or any other motorists who were traveling on Kindley Field Road around the time of the incident. The death of Earl Ingemann marks the 1st road fatality of 2010.

Injury RTC

Around 6:55pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo involving a car and a pedestrian. The Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service also attended the scene. It appears that the pedestrian, a 58 year old Warwick woman, was crossing the pedestrian crossing in the area. A car traveling east stopped to allow her to cross; however a white car traveling west collided with the pedestrian. The car stopped a distance away, then continued along North Shore Road. The Warwick woman was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of a bump & laceration to the back of her head as well as a laceration to her left ear. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision, particularly anyone who saw the white car involved to contact PC Stephen Millar on 295-0011.

Arrests on Suspicion of Drug Possession

At 8:20pm on Thursday, December 31st 2009 Police executed a search warrant on a room at a Pembroke hotel. As a result a quantity of suspected controlled drug was seized and six individuals were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug. The six men are all from Pembroke, ranging in age from 15 years old to 24 years old. Court appearances are anticipated in the near future as a result of these arrests.
