Firearm Incident in Sandys - Around 12:20am today, Police received a report of gunshots in the Cooks Hill Road, Sandys parish area. A resident of the area stated that she saw an unknown man standing in the road. The suspect, described as approximately 6’ tall and wearing dark coloured clothing, discharged a firearm before leaving the area on foot. No one was injured. Officers attended the scene a short time later and immediately commenced an investigation into the incident. Injury RTC
Around 3:35am today, Police received a report of a serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Kindley Field Road in St. George’s in the vicinity of Stone Crusher Corner. It appears that a car was traveling west on Kindley Field Road when the driver lost control. As a result the car went up an embankment, struck a tree and overturned. There were four occupants in the vehicle at the time and all received injuries. The individual believed to be the driver, a 31 year old Sandys parish man, sustained abrasions to his face but declined medial treatment. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving; however he passed the alco-analyser test. The other three occupants of the car include a 21 year old Sandys parish man who sustained head & chest injuries and was taken to KEMH for treatment; a 23 year old Sandys parish man who sustained unknown injuries and a 21 year old Sandys parish woman who sustained injuries to her hands. The car was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
