Burglary - Around 3:40am today, Police were on mobile patrol in St. George’s when they received a report of a burglary at Robertson’s Drug Store. On arrival officers discovered an unknown man inside the premises. The suspect, a 24 year old St. George’s man, attempted to escape but was quickly apprehended inside the building and arrested in connection with the burglary. A 19 year old St. George’s man found acting suspiciously near the drug store was also arrested on an outstanding warrant. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Arrest

A second suspect, namely a 17 year old St. George’s man, has been arrested in connection with the robbery at the St. George’s Club around 8:20pm on Tuesday. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Injury RTC

Around 12 noon on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Williamsville Place in Southampton. It appears that a car and a motorcycle were traveling west on Middle Road with the car in front of the motorcycle. As the car turned into Williamsville Place, the motorcycle collided with the rear of the car. The rider of the motorcycle, a 43 year old Hamilton parish man, sustained injuries to his head and left hand. He was evaluated by Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel and EMTs who also attended the scene before being taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 59 year old Southampton woman, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received rear end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
