Robbery - Around 10:50pm on Friday, Police received a report of a robbery. The victim, a 21 year old Sandys parish man, stated that around 9:45pm that day he was standing next to his Yamaha motorcycle license #BM 724 outside the Warwick Lanes Bowling Alley when he was attached by two unknown men. One of the men reportedly brandished a bladed article. However, the Sandys parish man was not injured. The offenders made good their escape with the victim’s motorcycle via Pearman’s Hill. The suspects are described as two brown skinned males of slim build; one was approximately 5’10” tall wearing black pants and a black jacket while the other was approximately 5’11” tall wearing black pants and a blue & white jacket. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information on the whereabouts of a Yamaha motorcycle license #BM 724 to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.
Injury RTC
At 8:45pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Palmetto Road and North Shore Road in Devonshire. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Palmetto Road when the rider, a 27 year old Southampton man, lost control attempting to negotiate the round-a-bout at the junction. The Southampton man sustained facial injuries as well as an injury to his left hand. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 2:20am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Mullet Bay Road in St. George’s. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Mullet Bay Road when the rider, a 34 year old Pembroke man, lost control and fell to the ground. He sustained facial injuries and pain to his left shoulder. The motorcycle received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
