Update – Injury RTC/Disturbance

At 9:20am on Tuesday, Police received a report of a road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Morgan Road (in the vicinity of Warwick Academy). It now appears that two men on a black motorcycle were traveling west on Middle Road when a black car traveling in the same direction collided with the rear of the motorcycle. The car reversed and attempted to strike the motorcycle a second time – but failed to make contact - before fleeing the scene via Morgan Road heading toward Harbour Road. The two men on the motorcycle also fled the area on foot via Morgan Road heading toward Harbour Road; however it remains unclear what their injuries were, if any. Likewise, it is unknown whether any injuries were sustained by the occupant(s) of the car or if the car was damaged. In addition, it has been suggested that some of the individuals involved were in possession of bladed articles, but this has not been substantiated. The damaged motorcycle was impounded from the scene by Police. At this time no arrests have been made in connection with this matter. Inquiries are ongoing. Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact PC Wesley Robinson at the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
