The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Most of the vehicles removed were either auxiliary cycles or motorcycles, with 2 cars also reported stolen during the period. Of the 17 vehicles reported stolen, 5 were subsequently recovered, including both cars.
Witness Appeal - Glebe Road Shooting
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the shooting on Glebe Road in Pembroke around 4pm Saturday. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Acting Chief Inspector Calvin Smith at the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011. We are particularly interested in speaking with anyone that may have been in the area of Glebe Road and Yardie Kitchen between 12 noon and 4pm Saturday; no matter how insignificant you may believe the information to be. Alternatively, anyone with any information can call the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477 or submit an anonymous tip via the Crime Stoppers Bermuda website www.crimestoppers.bm.
Burglary
Around 3:55pm on Monday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Windgap Lane, Paget residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7:50am and 3:50pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
