Industrial Accident

Around 4pm on Monday, Police received a report of an industrial accident at a construction site on Coney Island Road in Hamilton parish. Details about what occurred are unclear; however, initial information indicated that a construction worker was trapped under a forklift. The 39 year old Pembroke man was unresponsive at the time and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene at 4:45pm by an on call physician. The Government Health & Safety Officer was informed. No further information will be released until the next of kin has been notified.
