Willful Damage/Vehicle Fire

At 12:30 this morning, Police attended a report of willful damage at a Town Hill, Smith’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the female complainant who stated that around 11pm Monday she parked her car outside her apartment. Sometime later she discovered that the car’s rear windshield was completely shattered. Then around 6:10 this morning, Police attended King Street in Pembroke outside Bermuda Motors to a report of a vehicle on fire. On arrival officers observed the same vehicle from the earlier incident, a black Kia Sportage, ablaze. (The vehicle was apparently parked outside Bermuda Motors awaiting repairs due to the earlier willful damage). The Bermuda Fire Service also attended the scene and extinguished the fire. The car was subsequently impounded by Police. Inquiries into both incidents are underway. Media Note: It is believed these incidents are the result of a domestic dispute.
