Burglary
Police responded to a report of a burglary that was reported on Friday 9:10am on Euclid Avenue in Pembroke. Upon Police arrival they spoke to the complaint who reported that a few hours before, he heard a bang on his door. He went to open the door when he noticed a man was standing at the doorway making demands for money. The complainant declined the request and the suspect then began to bang on the door. This resulted in the door starting to buckle. The suspect then ran off after he was told the Police were on their way. An active inquiry into this incident is underway.
Disturbance
Meantime, at 2:50 this morning Police attended a report of a disturbance that took place on Church Street in Pembroke. Upon Police arrival the complainant reported that whilst he was sitting in his car he was approached by three persons (two males and one female) who requested a lift in his car. When the request was refused one of the men punched him then robbed him of a silver chain. The suspect in this incident was later identified by the victim and Police and he was arrested and detained at Hamilton Police Station.
All incidents are under investigation.
