St. George’s Community Clinic Series Starts Tomorrow

Tue, 2014-05-27

The first of several Police Community Clinics scheduled for St. George’s will be held Wednesday, 28th May at the Town Hall from 9am until 12 noon.

It is anticipated that additional St. George’s community clinics will be held during the same time and at the same place each following Wednesday until the end of June.

Attending area residents will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns they may have, obtain information on crime prevention as well as advice regarding how to form a Neighbourhood Watch Group.

These meetings are a continuation of the ‘Meet Your Community Action Team (CAT) Officer’ community clinics held in various parishes recently.

Weekend Police Activity

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their cooperation over the Bermuda Day holiday weekend, as there were no significant incidents of anti-social behaviour reported.

However, over the weekend, police officers arrested two people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.

In addition officers responded to 15 reports of loud music, arrested 28 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
