Man Arrested After Domestic Incident in Southampton

At 7:50am on Sunday police responded to a report of an incident that took place at a residence on Riviera Estates in Southampton.

Upon police arrival it was ascertained that two men were engaged in an altercation with one of the men brandishing a weapon (mattock).  It was believed the weapon wielding man was barricaded in a shed however he then was seen walking on a near by road. After a brief struggle with police the man was arrested and taken into police custody.

Police have commenced an investigation into the matter and anyone with any information should contact police on 295-0011.

Reported Armed Burglary

Meantime, the Bermuda Police Service is currently investigating a reported armed burglary that occurred between 7:30pmand 9:00pm on Friday the 20th February 2015 near Deepdale Road, Pembroke.

It appears 4 victims confronted in their home by three males dressed in dark clothing who made off with items from the house.
