Car Collides With Utility Pole Near Watford Bridge

Around 8:15pm on Thursday, May 15th first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle collision on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near Watford Bridge.
It appears that a car collided with a utility pole, resulting in downed power lines across that section of road.
The female driver apparently sustained relatively minor injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment as a precaution.
BELCO personnel also attended the scene to assess the situation and safely deal with the downed power lines. Traffic flow was temporarily stopped in the area as a result but has since returned to normal.
