Bus Collision on Crow Lane

Around 11:40am on Wednesday, March 11th first responders attended a reported collision on Crow Lane in the City of Hamilton outside of Great Things involving a bus.

Apparently five passengers on the bus were injured; however their injuries are not considered to be serious. An update on those injured will be given as soon as more details are available.

It appears that the bus and at least three parked vehicles were damaged, as well as a utility pole. Traffic has been diverted in the area until further notice.

Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and any witnesses should contact Constable Mervin Homer on the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Reported Missing Person: Christopher Smith

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public's assistance in locating 42 year old Christopher Smith, who was officially reported missing on the evening of Thursday, March 5th 2015.

Since being officially reported missing officers have conducted various inquiries attempting to locate him; however to date these efforts have proved unsuccessful.

‎Mr. Smith is described as brown complexioned, approximately 5'7" tall, of slim build with a close haircut and is known to frequent the City of Hamilton, Warwick and St. George’s.

There are concerns for the well-being of Mr. Smith and anyone who may know his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477 at the earliest opportunity.

Upcoming Community Clinic for Sandys Parish Residents This Friday

Sandys parish residents are encouraged to attend a Western Community Action Team community clinic being held Friday, March 13th at Arnold’s Supermarket on Somerset Road in Sandys from 3pm until 7pm.

At the event area residents will have the opportunity to meet their Community Action Team officer(s), discuss any community issues they may have and receive crime prevention advice.

This police community initiative is the second of three planned for the western parishes this month.
