The Bermuda Police Service is investigating the circumstances surrounding a 16 year old male who was apparently in an altercation in the Ord Road Paget area on Monday afternoon, resulting in the 16 year old male being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he is now in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
A 31 year old Pembroke woman is currently in police custody assisting with enquiries. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have any knowledge of this incident, particularly persons who may have been traveling along Ord Road on the Number 2 bus around 4:45pm Monday to contact the Serious Crime Unit on telephone number 247-1739.
Reported Serious Motorcycle Collision in Paget
Around 11:10pm on Tuesday, September 9th first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of South Road and White Sands Road in Paget.
It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along South Road and a car was being driven along White Sands Road when the vehicles collided at the junction. The motorcyclist, a 31 year old Pembroke man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check he was in stable condition.
The motorcycle received extensive front end damage. The car also received front end damage.
Inquiries regarding this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Rawle Massiah at the Hamilton Police Station on 247-1704.
Central Community Action Team Community Clinic Today
The Central Community Action Team will be holding a ‘Meet Your Community Action Team (CAT) Officers’ – Police Community Outreach Clinic from 12 noon to 4pm today at the Shopping Centre, Victoria Street, Pembroke.
This initiative is an avenue for members of the public to voice any concerns they may have about ongoing anti-social or criminal activity in their neighborhoods, receive Neighborhood Watch Group information, as well as receive crime prevention information and pamphlets including financial crime prevention tips.
The next Police Community Outreach Clinic will be held on Wednesday 17th September from 12 noon to 4pm at Lindo’s Market in Devonshire.
