Appeal for Witnesses to Collision & Attempted Robbery

Shortly after 12 noon Thursday April 3rd, 2014 police responded to a traffic collision which occurred along East Broadway near Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute. As a result of the accident a 23 year old Pembroke man riding a blue Yamaha motorbike received injuries. Police are interested in speaking to the driver of a black Nissan Tiida motorcar involved in the collision. Police are also appealing for any witnesses who may have any information relating to this collision to contact PC Teara Douglas of the Hamilton Police Station on 247-1685 or 247-1704.

Also police are still investigating an attempted robbery that took place at the Mr. Chicken Express at the junction of Upland Street and Watlington Road in Devonshire, a few minutes after 10pm on Friday night. It appears that two males entered the establishment and brandished what appeared to be a firearm and a bladed article and made demands of money. However their attempt was unsuccessful and the two suspects made good their escape.
