At last check around 7:30am Sunday, July 5th the 40 year old Hamilton parish man shot and injured at Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club a few minutes after 12am Thursday, July 2nd remained in critical condition at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

The investigation continues and any witnesses that may have seen suspicious activity between 11pm Wednesday, July 1st and a few minutes after 12am Thursday, July 2nd in the surrounding Bailey’s Bay, Ducks Puddle Drive Hamilton parish area should contact the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739.

At last check the 40 year old Hamilton parish man shot and injured at Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club a few minutes after 12am Thursday, July 2nd was in critical condition at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

It was initially stated that the victim’s age was 39.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident, where a lone offender apparently walked into the premises and discharged a firearm.

Investigation Into Reported Theft of Large Quantity of Cash

The Bermuda Police Service is currently investigating the reported theft of a large quantity of cash.

The money was apparently removed around 8:30pm Monday, June 29th from an unattended car parked in the vicinity of St. David’s Primary school.

The lone culprit, described as 6 feet tall of medium to stocky build wearing black clothing and a black helmet, fled on foot along Great Bay Road.

Reported Missing Teenager: Savannah Lewis [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 17 year old Savannah Lewis, who was recently reported missing.

Ms. Lewis is described as light complexioned, 5’4” tall of slim build, with red shoulder length hair and freckles.

She was apparently last seen wearing black jeans and a black and white top around 11pm Saturday, June 27th at her Alexandra Road, Devonshire home.

Visitor in ICU Following Southampton Collision Monday Afternoon

At last check a 35 year old male visitor injured when the rental cycle he was riding collided with a car around 3:15pm Monday, June 29th on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Scenic Heights Pass was at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit in stable condition.

The pillion passenger involved, also a male visitor, was apparently treated at the hospital for less serious injuries and later discharged.

Reported Serious Collision in Southampton

Around 3:15pm on Monday, June 29th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Scenic Heights Pass.

It appears that a car and a rental cycle were traveling in opposite directions when they collided.

BPS Community Clinic & Vehicle Display at July 1st Harbour Nights

In conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce, the Central Community Action Team will be hosting a Police Community Clinic ‘Meet Your CAT Officer’ and Police Vehicle Display at Harbour Nights on Wednesday, 1st July 2015 from 6:30pm until 10pm along Front Street in the City of Hamilton.

This will provide an opportunity for Community Action Team (CAT) officers to engage with visitors as well as members of the public regarding crime prevention advice.

Police Officer Discharged From BPS After Incest Conviction

Commissioner of Police Michael DeSilva - The Supreme Court yesterday convicted a 37 year old man for incest. The court found that the man had sexually exploited his daughter while in a position of trust.

The Bermuda Police Service treats offences committed against children very seriously and we recently increased the number of investigators trained to deal with those crimes.

Arrest on Suspicion of Impaired Driving

Around 7:50pm on Tuesday, June 23rd first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle damage only collision on Harbour Road in Paget, near the junction with Lovers Lane.

It appears that a car being driven along Harbour Road in the vicinity of ‘Red Hole’ collided with a wall, ending up on its side.
