Witness Appeal

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that an incident took place at an Alexandra Road, Devonshire residence around 5:20 this morning where 3 men gained entry into the home and threatened the female occupant with what may have been a firearm. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing; however, it appears to be a case of mistaken identity, as the female occupant of the residence does not appear to be the intended target of the suspects. The female occupant was traumatized following the incident, although she was not physically harmed. Police are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity or individuals in the Alexandra Road, Devonshire area in the early hours of this morning to contact Detective Constable Carl Neblett at the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011. Also, regular Police patrols will continue to monitor the area.

All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
