Around 10:30pm on Friday, Police received a report of 3 missing children. It appears that a 6 year old, 7 year old and an 8 year old were supposed to walk home from West End Primary School; however, when their grandmother called to inquire whether or not the children had reached their appointed destination, it was realized that the children were missing. They were last seen by a member of the public at 9pm on Scott's Hill Road in Sandy's parish.
Police began canvassing the area using all available resources to look for the missing trio. The search was very extensive, covering area in Somerset and Dockyard, including Somerset Long Bay, 9 Beaches, Lagoon Park, the Springfield Property, and Cambridge boathouse were checked (land & coastline); however, the children were not located.
But around 8 this morning, the children were found safe and sound and were taken to a safe place to be fully evaluated. We would like to thank all members of the public who worked with the Bermuda Police Service to help us locate the missing trio. We also would like to apologize to any member of the public who may have been inconvenienced in any way as a result of the early morning search.
Missing Persons
Police are appealing for the public's assistance in locating Rory Trevor Johns who was last seen on Tuesday, September 19. He is described as a light complexioned black man, approximately 5'9" tall weighing 180 pounds with curly hair. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Rory Trevor Johns is asked to contact Police on 295-0011.
Police are also appealing for the public's assistance in locating 24 year old Khalil Ishmail Roberts. He was last seen in Devonshire and is described as light brown skinned, 5'11" tall wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Khalil Ishmail Roberts is asked to contact Police on 295-0011. |
