Reported Serious Three Vehicle Collision in Sandys Parish

Around 6:10pm today, Monday 25th January 2021, first responders attend a report of a three vehicle collision, involving a private motorcar, a PTB bus and a motorcycle, along Middle Road near the junction with Fairhaven Lane, Sandys.

Early reports indicate that a 25 year  old male motorcyclist, traveling in an easterly direction, attempted to overtake vehicles traveling in the same direction, when he lost control of his cycle and collided with a private car traveling in a westerly direction.

As a result, the motorcycle rider was thrown into the path of a PTB bus which was also traveling east.

The injured male was taken to KEMH for treatment to his injuries, the extent of which the is not known at this time.  The bus driver and the motorcar driver were not reported to be injured.

The scene is being processed by forensic officers and traffic collision investigators. Traffic delays are to be expected.
