First Road Fatality for 2021: 28-Year-Old Oronde Wilson Jr.

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 28-year-old Oronde Wilson Jr.

Mr. Wilson was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding crashed on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Lighthouse Road, in the vicinity of Jews Bay, around 8:55am Monday, January 4th.

Police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service as well as ambulance personnel responded to the scene.

Despite lifesaving efforts at the crash site and being rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, sadly Mr. Wilson was later pronounced dead.

The investigation regarding the circumstances of this road fatality continues.

Any witnesses are still encouraged to contact the Roads Policing Unit at 247-1788 or alternatively 211 as soon as possible.

All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
