Young Man Chased by Others on Another Cycle

The Bermuda Police service (BPS), is aware of a video clip circulating on social media, which depicts a young man on an auxiliary cycle, apparently being chased by individuals on another cycle.

Reports are the incident occurred last Sunday evening on Middle Road, Paget near Belmont.

The young man was at the time riding in an easterly direction when the second cycle which was headed in a westerly direction, turned around and began following him.

In the video clip the individuals on the second cycle appear to be trying to intimidate the young man and reports are they followed him until he rode into a driveway. They are said to have then moved on without incident.

In his attempts to escape the individuals on the second cycle the young man had cause to ride at a high rate of speed, putting himself and other road users at risk.

A report on this incident has been made to the BPS.

All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
