Detectives are currently conducting inquiries regarding a reported armed robbery.
Early information suggests that the incident occurred around 8:40pm Wednesday. January 8th on Church Valley Lane in Sandys parish - where it is believed that two unknown men each brandishing a bladed article assaulted and robbed a 40 year old Sandys parish man, injuring him.
The two assailants are then understood to have made good their escape on a single motorcycle.
Apparently the injured man sustained wounds to his neck and arm.
However, the extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.
A scene was located and processed by the relevant police personnel.

Update: At last check a 40 year old Four Star delivery man was under observation in the Intensive Care Unit after being assaulted and robbed around 8:40pm Wednesday, January 8th.
It now appears that the incident occurred at the junction of West Side Road and Church Valley Lane in Sandys parish as the delivery man attempted to locate the correct address for a food order.
He was assisted at the scene by members of the public, police officers and emergency medical technicians before being transported to hospital via ambulance for treatment of injuries that included a laceration to his neck and arm.
One of the suspects is described as a brown complexioned male of slim build believed to be about 17 years old, approximately 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing around 130 to 150 pounds wearing all dark coloured clothing.
The other suspect is described as a black male believed to be about 20 years old, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 180 pounds wearing a black helmet and dark coloured clothing.
Apparently the assailants took the food order before the younger suspect escaped on foot and the older suspect rode off on a motorcycle, both fleeing along Church Valley Lane.
