Sudden Death of 66 Year Old Roderick Benjamin

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 66 year old Mr. Roderick Benjamin and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Benjamin was found by a member of the public in an unresponsive state around 10:30pm Wednesday, February 27th on the Railway Trail in the Loyal Hill, North Shore Road Devonshire area.

Despite lifesaving efforts at the scene and as Mr. Benjamin was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, he was later pronounced dead.

Foul play is not suspected and a cause of death is being examined.

All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
