Police and first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place on Vesey Street in Devonshire at 12:24pm today. Upon police arrival it was ascertained that a female was trapped under a car. Bermuda Fire and Rescue were on the scene and extricated the woman from under the car. She was transported via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where she is being treated for serious injuries. Police are presently processing the scene and officers are interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen the collision. Anyone who can assist is asked to call 295-0011.
Update: Police can now confirm the death of a 70 year old woman who died as a result of a collision that took place on Vesey Street in Devonshire, at 12:24pm today.

No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified and the Roads Policing Unit would like to speak with anyone who may have seen the collision. Witnesses are asked to contact 295-0011. |
