Two Car Collision: North Shore Road, Smith's Parish [Updated]

Police and first responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place on North Shore Road in Smith's in the area of Police Beach. Details are still emerging but it appears that two cars collided. It does not appear that anyone was injured, however, traffic is being diverted away from the collision while the scene is being processed.

Update: Sunday, October 21st - Details remain limited at this time regarding the two car collision that occurred on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Jennings Road (Police Beach area) around 9:20pm Saturday, October 20th.

However, police can now confirm that the driver of one of the vehicles involved – believed to be a 33 year old Pembroke woman – was taken to hospital via ambulance for medical assessment and subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Update: Monday, October 22nd - It now appears that the two cars involved in a collision that occurred on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Jennings Road (Police Beach area) around 9:20pm Saturday, October 20th were being driven in opposite directions at the time.

In addition, recent information indicates that the 33 year old female driver of the westbound vehicle, taken to hospital via ambulance for medical assessment, left of her own accord before being seen by medical staff. There were no other injuries reported.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses that have not already come forward are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.
