Around 10:15pm Friday, October 19th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported collision at the junction of South Road and Warwick Lane in Warwick involving a car and a motorcycle.
Initial information indicates that the motorcyclist involved was seriously injured.
An update on the injured male rider’s medical condition is anticipated in due course.
Traffic diversions are currently in place until the scene has been processed by the relevant police personnel.

Update: Saturday, October 20th - At last check this morning (October 20th) the injured rider, believed to be an 18 year old Southampton man, was being treated for non-life threatening injuries after being transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance Friday night.
It now appears that the male car driver and the male motorcyclist involved were traveling in opposite directions along South Road, Warwick when the collision occurred as the car driver turned on to Warwick Lane.
The driver of the car, said to be a 59 year old man, has been arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The driver and his male front seat passenger were not injured.

Update: Monday, October 22nd - At last check this morning (October 22nd) the 18 year old male rider injured in a collision with a car at the junction of South Road and Warwick Lane in Warwick around 10:15pm Friday, October 19th was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.
