Police Officer Arrested

Discipline Officer, Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Martin Weekes - A 33 year old Smith's Parish resident who is a serving police constable, was arrested today by officers of the Organised, Economic Crime Department on suspicion of offences under the Bribery Act 2016. An investigation has commenced and further enquiries will follow. The Bermuda Police Service wishes to make it clear that it takes any allegation of bribery and corruption among its officers and staff extremely seriously and that all allegations will be thoroughly investigated and dealt with according to law. |
All incidents are under investigation.
