Sixth Road Fatality for 2017: Kenneth Simmons

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 46 year old Kenneth Simmons and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Simmons was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a truck around 11pm Friday, May 19th on Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s parish near Odyssey Drive.

He was initially treated in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital before being airlifted overseas for further medical treatment.

However, Mr. Simmons ultimately succumbed to his injuries while in hospital in the U.S. and a Family Liaison Officer has now been appointed to assist his family at this difficult time.

The investigation regarding the sixth road fatality for 2017 continues and witnesses that have not already come forward or persons with information that can further assist are still encouraged to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.


All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
