Shaundae Jones Murder Investigation Remains Open

Thursday, April 27th 2017 marks the 14th anniversary of Shaundae Jones’ murder.

Mr. Jones, a 20 year old Warwick Parish resident, was shot and killed outside Club Malabar in the early morning hours of 27th April 2003.

The Serious Crime Department investigation into this cold blooded murder remains open and detectives are still seeking the person(s) involved.

At the time of his murder Shaundae was sitting in a friend’s stationary car when a lone gunman approached the vehicle and fired a single shot at close range.

Many patrons who had been in the club socialising exited into the car park, where the fatal shooting took place.

Crime Stoppers subsequently posted a financial reward for any information that led to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved in the murder of Shaundae. This reward remains in effect today.

The Bermuda Police Service is committed to pursuing justice for Shaundae, his family and friends – as investigators believe there are individuals in our community who have information that if provided, will lead to the killer being arrested and charged.

Anyone who has information that can assist this investigation is urged to please contact the Serious Crime Department at 1-441-247-1739 or the Crime Stoppers confidential hotline at 800-8477.

All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
