At 7.45 p.m. Police and first responders attended a report of a collision that took place at the junction of Middle Road and Cobbs Hill in Warwick. It appears that a man riding a motorcycle with a pillion passenger was travelling west on Middle Road when he collided with a car that was turning south onto Cobbs Hill.

As a result, the rider of the bike was trapped under the car and had to be extricated by the Bermuda Fire Service.

His pillion passenger was catapulted some 20 feet, landing over a wall on the Warwick Workman's Club property. Both men were conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with injuries that are classified as serious.

The driver of the car was visibly shaken, but was not physically harmed.

The area has been cordoned off while the Forensic Support Unit and Traffic Collision Investigators process the scene.

The Bermuda Police Service is asking witnesses to call 295-0011.
