Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Martin Weekes - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for witnesses to come forward with information that will assist in ongoing enquiries into the discharge of a firearm in the Ingham’s Vale area of North Shore Road, Pembroke.
On two occasions in the last week a number of shots have been fired late at night at an apartment on this residential street. No persons have been hurt in these incidents however the persons who have committed these offences are doing so with a blatant disregard for public safety.
The Bermuda Police Service is particularly concerned that further incidents may occur where innocent people may be injured or worse by criminals seemingly intent on sending someone a message.
The Bermuda Police Service currently has two persons in custody in relation to these incidents and is actively seeking to arrest two others.
The Bermuda Police Service is appealing to all right-minded citizens who may know something about these incidents to call the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or the Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477 with any information that can assist with identifying the culprits and ensuring the safety of those persons going about their lawful business in this residential area. |
