Marine police attended a report of a serious incident that took place a few minutes after 6pm on Long Island, commonly referred to as Paradise Lakes.
It appears that five individuals were on a 15 foot open boat when a 25 year old Dominican guest worker ran into difficulty whilst he was swimming.
He was taken out of the water by two individuals who were with him and marine police then took the man to Darrell’s Wharf where he was met by the ambulance.
He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead at 7:10pm.
No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.
An investigation into this incident is underway. |
