Reported Missing Person: Henry Smith [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public's assistance in locating 84 year old Henry Smith, who was apparently last seen around 3pm Thursday, January 8th and subsequently reported missing at 6:45pm that same day.

Mr. Smith is described as brown complexioned, 5'4" tall, with a bald head and moustache. 

The senior citizen was last seen at his My Lord’s Bay Road, Hamilton parish residence Thursday afternoon wearing khaki coloured pants, a long sleeved red shirt and white sneakers. It is believed that he was also wearing a light blue jacket.

In addition, Mr. Smith is known to frequent the Bailey’s Bay, Hamilton parish area - particularly around Clay Town and the Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club. 

Searches have been conducted overnight by police officers patrolling the eastern parishes without success; however efforts continue to locate the 84 year old Hamilton parish man.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of 84 year old Henry Smith should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.

12 noon Update: The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 84 year old Henry Smith. Mr. Smith was found in the My Lord’s Bay, Hamilton parish area around 11am today. He appeared to be uninjured, but it is anticipated that he will be medically assessed at the hospital as a precaution.


All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
