Around 12:30pm on Saturday, October 18th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision involving two motorcycles.
Details are unclear at this time; however it appears that two motorcycles collided on Court Street in the City of Hamilton near the junction with Reid Street. As a result three people were injured and taken to the hospital via ambulance.
One of the three involved, a 49 year old male, was seriously injured and subsequently pronounced dead. His passing marks the 11th road fatality for 2014. No further information regarding the deceased will be given until the next of kin have been notified.
The two other persons injured as a result of this collision are currently receiving treatment for unspecified injuries. A full investigation is underway and any witnesses should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011. |
