Weekend Searches for Missing Canadian Visitor Underway
|
This morning at 8am just under 100 persons embarked on a search for missing Canadian visitor William Grange. Police were accompanied by sister agencies Department of Corrections, H.M. Customs, the Bermuda Regiment and members of the community. The searches will include. West, East and Central areas.
We are also asking the boating community both today and tomorrow to please be vigilant and continue to search the shoreline and look in all boats and marine vessels for the missing 67 year old man.
A group of volunteer divers have also offered their assistance in conjunction with this weekend’s extended search efforts in the Cambridge Beaches area. It is also anticipated that they will be utilised to search two area ponds - Pittman’s pond and Long Bay pond - by punt, as diving these ponds is not feasible, during today or tomorrow, Sunday May 11th. We will keep the public updated. |
All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
