The Bermuda Police Service will host a week of police as well as community events to celebrate Police Week 2013, starting on Saturday, October 5th and finishing on Saturday, October 12th.
This year the theme is “Building Community Confidence Through Engagement.”
Community events of note include:
- Police Gymkhana on Saturday, October 5th from 10am – 4pm at Police Field in Prospect, Devonshire.
- Inter-Faith Service on Sunday, October 6th from 10am – 11am at CedarBridge Academy Cafeteria.
- Police Display Day on Tuesday, October 8th from 11am – 3pm at Police Field in Prospect, Devonshire.
- Seniors Tea on Tuesday, October 8th starting at 12 noon at Devonshire Recreation Club in Devonshire.
- Open House on Wednesday, October 9th at Hamilton, Somerset and Southside Police Stations.
- Beating of the Retreat on Wednesday, October 9th at 8pm on Front Street in the City of Hamilton.
- Police Memorial Ceremony on Thursday, October 10th at 11am in the Military Cemetery behind Alexandra Road in Devonshire.
We encourage members of the public to come out and participate in this celebration of 134 years of policing in Bermuda. |
