The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 22 year old Tumaini Steede of Devonshire. Mr. Steede was seriously injured in a motorcycle collision that occurred around 2:15am on Monday, July 2nd along Palmetto Road in Devonshire near the junction with Aeolia Drive. He was admitted to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit as a result and ultimately succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, July 11th.
The investigation into this fatal collision is ongoing and a Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to Mr. Steede’s family to assist them during this difficult time.
Police continue to encourage any witnesses, particularly anyone who may have been traveling through the Palmetto Road, Devonshire area around 2am Monday, July 2nd or anyone with any information regarding this incident, to contact PC Shantia Furbert at the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
