Shooting on East Avenue in Southampton

Around 7:05pm on Wednesday, December 21st police received a report of a shooting at an East Avenue, Southampton residence. A 38 year old Southampton man was injured as a result and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The victim’s injuries are not considered life threatening at this time.

Officers immediately attended the area and cordoned off the scene. A full investigation into this incident is underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.

All incidents are under investigation.
