Around 3:20am on Saturday, October 8th police and first responders attended a confirmed firearm incident in the North Shore Road, Devonshire area. A Devonshire man in his 20s sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. As a result, officers cordoned off the scene and conducted a thorough search of the area which resulted in items of interest being recovered which will be forensically examined.
Prior to that, around 9:10pm on Friday, October 7th police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury in the North Shore Road, Hamilton parish area. However, subsequent inquiries determined that the collision occurred following a confirmed firearm incident where a Pembroke man in his 30s sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. As a result, officers cordoned off the scene and conducted a thorough search of the area.
