Yesterday 49 year old Brian Carlton Rogers was sentenced to three years imprisonment by Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner in Magistrates’ Court, relating to a burglary that occurred during the early morning hours of October 11th 2010 at the West Pembroke Pentecostal Church where a safe was stolen. The Magistrate said Mr. Rogers had a “prolific record of criminal convictions” and committed the offence at the Pembroke church following his release from prison only a month earlier.
Acting Detective Inspector Colin King who was part of the investigative team for the case said Thursday’s conviction was the result of Police officers quickly responding to the reported burglary and locating Mr. Rogers nearby, with the stolen safe in his possession. “He was subsequently placed before the court where the consequences of his actions resulted in a three year prison sentence.”
