Suspicious Circumstances at Penno’s Wharf St. George’s

Around 2:50pm on Tuesday, Police received information of the presence of a possible weapon at the cruise ship terminal at Penno’s Wharf in St. George’s. Efforts were made to locate an individual that was believed to be off the cruise ship as well as the item in question. The search resulted in a delay in some passengers being transported back to the cruise ship by the tender. Police inquires are ongoing and further information will be released as the investigation progresses. One individual off the cruise ship is assisting Police with their inquiries. The matter is being investigated by the Serious Crime Unit who are being assisted by officers from Southside Police Station as well as other units within the Bermuda Police Service.
