Confirmed Firearm Incident in Sandys Parish

Around 2:05pm today, Police responded to reports of gun shots being fired in the area of Somerset Road and Sound View Road in Sandys parish. Officers arrived at the scene and ascertained that it was indeed a confirmed firearm incident. It appears that one person, a 30 year old Paget man, received a gun shot wound to his leg. His injury is not believed to be life threatening. An active investigation into this incident is underway. Police are appealing for anyone that may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the Somerset Road/Sound View Road, Sandys parish area around the time of the incident to call the main Police number 295-0011 or the independent confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477. |
