Pursuit/Damage Only RTC

At 2pm on Thursday, Police were conducting speed checks on Middle Road in Devonshire when a man on a motorcycle was observed traveling through the area at an excessive speed. As a result a pursuit took place through parts of Devonshire and Pembroke before the rider, a 17 year old Pembroke man, was apprehended behind Devonshire Preschool. Police also impounded the motorcycle.

At one point during the pursuit, the fleeing motorcycle was traveling west on Berry Hill Road (near the hospital’s overflow parking area) when it collided with a SUV traveling in the opposite direction; however the motorcycle kept going. Inquiries into the matter are ongoing.

Police are appealing for the driver of the SUV to come forward. The victim of this hit & run (driver of the SUV) is encouraged to contact PC Tyrone Fox at the Roads Policing Unit on 299-4390 or 299-4211.


All incidents are under investigation.
