Officers from the Eastern Criminal Investigation Unit have arrested two 25 year old males on suspicion of possessing a significant quantity of controlled drugs, which were packaged for sale. The two males, one from Pembroke and one from Warwick, were stopped and searched under the new PACE legislation, after having been seen behaving suspiciously on Middle Road, Warwick Thursday night (March 18th). When the motorcycle they were riding was searched, the suspected controlled drugs were found under the seat of the motorcycle. Both males were arrested and are presently helping Police with their enquiries at Southside Police Station.
In a separate matter, 23 year old Temasgan Furbert appeared in court yesterday and was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment for possession of a bladed article. |
