Arrests

There were a total of 29 arrests made over the weekend for various offences –

  • 14 people were arrested for outstanding warrants
  • 2 people were arrested for possession of drug equipment
  • 2 people were arrested for disqualified driving
  • 1 person was arrested for possession of a controlled drug
  • 1 person was arrested for being drunk & incapable
  • 1 person was arrested on suspicion of burglary
  • 1 person was arrested for assault
  • 1 person was arrested for supplying a controlled drug
  • 1 person was arrested for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply
  • 1 person was arrested for threatening/offensive words
  • 1 person was arrested for offensive words
  • 1 person was arrested for public indecency
  • 1 person was arrested on suspicion of theft & willful damage
  • 1 person was arrested on suspicion of threatening behaviour

All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
