Attempted Arson

The Bermuda Police Service is actively investigating an attempted arson that occurred at a Warwick residence in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, July 21st). Police are taking this incident very seriously and would like to remind the public that under the law, ‘any person who willfully and unlawfully sets fire or attempts to set fire to any building or structure whatsoever, at any time when any person is therein, is guilty of a felony, and is liable to imprisonment for fifteen years.’ Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010. |
All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
