Disturbance At CedarBridge Academy

The Bermuda Police Service responded to a report of an altercation that took place at CedarBridge Academy at 10am today. This resulted in a 16 year old St. George’s male student being taken to KEMH where he is being treated for a non life threatening facial injury and a 17 year old Hamilton parish male student is in Police custody assisting with inquiries.

An hour later another altercation broke out between two other students, a 17 year old St. George’s male student and a 15 year old Hamilton parish male student. The 15 year old Hamilton parish student was taken to KEMH for treatment of non life threatening facial injuries and the 17 year old St. George’s student is in Police custody assisting with inquiries. As a result of specific information received Police heightened their presence around the school until school was dismissed a few minutes before 3pm.

An investigation into this incident is underway and anyone with any information is asked to contact Schools Resource Officer PC Peter Philpott or the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.


All incidents are under investigation. Police are appealing to members of the public who have witnessed these incidents or may have information pertaining to them to contact their respective Police Station, Police Headquarters at 295-0011 or the confidential Crimestoppers Hotline on 1 (800) 623-8477.
